STEM Spark Reads

• What Is It?  We will introduce students to what this topic is, and what it studies and pursues! In this section, students will understand what this topic does in the broad category of STEM and will also introduce the different sub-categories that fall under it! We want to expose students to as many topics as possible to potentially grasp their attention with something they are naturally attracted to!
• Recent Events: We will be talking about the recent events involving the month’s STEM topic! We hope to introduce students into how this STEM topic is part of our day to day lives and help them visualize themselves as a specialized scientist in that field. This will help them discover if this is a topic in STEM that fascinates them!
• Fun Facts: As we are an organization dedicated to sparking passion through love and true interest, we wanted to include fun facts about the month’s STEM topic! We hope students can enjoy these fun facts, having fun in broadening their knowledge!
• History: Includes a brief history of how this STEM topic came to be, helping students develop an understanding of why we study this topic! We hope that students will discover the meaning of these topics, and become interested in pursuing the cause!
• What Does This Have To Do With Me: We want students to understand what the impact this topic has on our world and their day to day lives. Our goal with this section is to have students identify things in life that stem from the study of the month’s topic.
